This free amigurumi chick crochet pattern is all you need to decorate your home this spring. This also makes a fun Easter project to fill the kids’ baskets with. The height of the amigurumi chick is about 10 cm (3.9″) tall with ears, if you use the same yarn and hook.

Materials:

  • Yarn: Alize Cotton Gold or YarnArt Jeans
  • Hook size: 1.5 mm
  • 5-6 mm half beads for eyes
  • Black embroidery floss for eyebrows
  • Sewing needle and scissors
  • Fabric glue
  • Fiberfill

Abbreviations:
R = row
mc = magic circle
ch = chain
st = stitch
sc = single crochet
inc = 2 sc in the next stitch
dec = single crochet 2 stitches together
(12) = number of stitches you should have at the end of the round/row

Fold top of foot flat and 4 sc through both sides across.

Cheeks (make 2)
With pink yarn:

Assembly
Glue the half beads for the eyes between R 13 and R 14 at the distance of 5-6 st from each other.
Sew on the beak below R 15 of the head.
Sew the cheeks to the head.
Embroider eyebrows in black (use three floss threads).
Embroider eye whites using a white yarn.



Sew the crest on the top of the chick’s head.
Sew the wings to the body between R 25 and R 26.


Sew the feet as shown in the picture above.
