Crochet Tiger-Costume Amigurumi Doll Pattern

Materials:

  • Yarn: YarnArt Jeans (55% cotton, 45% acrylic, 50 g/160 m)
  • Hook size: 2.5 mm
  • 8 mm safety eyes
  • Black embroidery floss
  • Stitch marker
  • Sewing needle and scissors
  • Button for a snood scarf
  • Fiberfill

Abbreviations:
R = row
mc = magic circle
ch = chain
st = stitch
sl st = slip stitch
sc = single crochet
dc = double crochet
hdc = half double crochet
inc = increase (2 sc in the next stitch)
dec = decrease (single crochet 2 stitches together)
(12) = number of stitches you should have at the end of the round/row
( ) * 6 = repeat whatever is between the brackets the number of times stated

Arms (make 2)
With orange yarn:
R 1: 6 sc in mc (6)
R 2: (inc) * 6 (12)
R 3-5: 12 sc (3 rows)
R 6: dec, 10 sc (11)
R 7: dec, 9 sc (10)
R 8: dec, 8 sc (9)
R 9-12: 9 sc (4 rows)
Stuff the bottom of the arm with fiberfill.
Fold top of arm flat and 4 sc through both sides across.

Legs and body

First leg
With white yarn:
Make 5 ch.
Make an oval starting from the 2nd ch from hook, work on both sides of the chain.
R 1: From the 2nd ch from hook: 3 sc, 3 sc in last st, turn and crochet on the opposite side of the chain: 2 sc, inc (10)
R 2: inc, 2 sc, 3 inc, 2 sc, 2 inc (16)
Change to orange yarn:
R 3: BLO 16 sc

Stuff with fiberfill.

Cut the brown yarn, leaving a long tail for sewing.
Cut the skin tone yarn, leaving a long tail for sewing.

Insert safety eyes between R 4 and R 5 (count the rows from the hair) at the distance of 4-5 st from each other.

Embroider the mouth on the face with black floss.
Sew the cheeks to the face.

Sew the nose between R 6 and R 9 of the head.
Embroider the tiger’s eyes with brown yarn.

Snood scarf
Make 5 ch.

Crochet so many rows as you need.

Embroider three stripes on the both sides of the head with brown yarn:
1st one – between R 13 and R 14,
2nd – between R 15 and R 16,
3rd – between R 17 and R 18.
