Free Crochet Pattern for Cute Little Elephant Amigurumi in PDF

As you know, elephants are the heaviest animals in Africa. I can’t say the biggest, because when I say the biggest, giraffes come to mind. Especially tall and long-legged giraffes seem very imposing to me. If you wish, you can look at other crochet giraffe patterns. However, today I will share a small elephant amigurumi pattern. I continue to share free amigurumi patterns. I’m trying to show you this by sharing different patterns. I hope you will like it.  Today We will crochet little elephant amigurumi.

Materials
1.Yarn: Vita Brilliant (45% wool, 55% acrylic, 380 m/100 g) in gray and pink
2. Hook size: 1.5-1.75 mm
3. Eyes size 3 mm, glue
4. Sewing needle and scissors
5. Fiberfill
Size of the elephant is about 8 cm.

sl-st : Slip Stitch
ch : Chain
..in : make increase into same stitch as many as the number which is given in front of “inc” abbreviation (exp; 3inc, 4inc..).
FLO : Crochet into front loops only
BLO : Crochet into back loops only
BL : Bobble Stitch – do 5dc all in the same stitch and then yarn over and pull through all the loops on your hook (the original loop + 1 loop for each partially completed dc).

Fasten thread, cut and hide inside. Stuff.

Horn
1 – 6 sc in MR
2 – BLO 6 sc
3-4 – 6 sc (2 rounds)

Ears
Make 4 circles (2 gray and 2 pink)

Fold the gray and pink circles together and crochet with gray yarn in a circle 24 sc (when joining, hold the part with the pink side towards you).
Leave thread for sewing.

Legs (make 2)

Pull the opening, fasten thread and hide inside.

Arms (make 2)
1 – 6 sc in MR

6-7 – 6 sc (2 rounds) Stuff.
Pull the opening, fasten thread and hide inside.

Tail
Make 10 ch, cut off the thread, leaving a small tail (you can comb it).
Leave thread for sewing.

Assembly
1 – sew the ears on 6-8 rounds on sides of the head
2 – glue the eyes between 9th and 10th rounds at 6 stitches apart, embroider whites of the eyes if you want
3 – sew the trunk from 10th to 13th rounds
4 – sew the head to the body
5 – attach arms using thread attaching (or sew) 1 round below the seam between head and body
6 – attach legs using thread attaching (or sew) between 4th and 5th rounds of the body on the sides
7 – sew the tail on the back of the toy on about 5-6 rounds
